Education
Many people with Medicare simply don't understand all of their Medicare benefits and rights. To tackle this problem, we publish and distribute educational materials and sponsor special training programs for everyone in the Medicare community–people with Medicare, their caregivers and the professionals who serve them.
Our online educational materials, publications and programs provide current and comprehensive information about Medicare options and rights. Through these media, we're able to teach people:
- to take an active interest in their health care;
- that the health care plan they choose affects the care they can obtain;
- that they have the right to change doctors and Medicare plans, and appeal denials of care;
- about state programs that help with health care costs.
The Medicare Rights Center is proud of its success in spreading the word about how Medicare works, and how people can make the most of their benefits.
