Alice not only answers calls on the hotline, but also helps staff who enroll people with limited incomes in Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs).
What Alice Did before Volunteering With Us:
Alice graduated from college and then worked in the health care field for a few years. She is taking a year off before going to law school, where she may study health care law.
How She Learned About Us:
Alice wanted to do something meaningful during her year off, so she searched online for “health care volunteering activities.” The Medicare Rights Center was one of the organizations that showed up.
Why Volunteering With Us Appealed to Her:
Alice was drawn to Medicare Rights Center’s comprehensive website. She liked that there was a reputable volunteering program already in place.
The friendly atmosphere and down-to-earth colleagues are reasons why she enjoys coming in several times a week to volunteer.
She is not as afraid as she once was for when her parents turn 65 because she has gained so much knowledge about Medicare by being a volunteer here.
Interests:
Playing with her two dogs, cooking and enjoying Scrabble games with her friends.
