Volunteers
Volunteers are fundamental to the Medicare Rights Center—we simply can't do our best job without them. We're fortunate to have over 200 volunteers across the country whose work is critical to the success of our mission.
Our volunteers help in so many significant ways—they play an especially important role in counseling and providing assistance on our hotlines, and in our education and outreach activities.
Working with the Medicare Rights Center is rewarding for them, too. By sharing their many talents and countless hours of their time, our volunteers experience a sense of power—they feel powerful to be able to help people, and to share that sense of working alongside others toward a common goal.
If you have an interest in volunteering, are concerned about services for older adults and people with disabilities, or health care policy, we would love to have you as part of our team!
You don't need to have prior knowledge of Medicare—we provide introductory and ongoing training for our volunteers. Some experience with computers is a plus.
